We are a third generation run company, with strong “roots” in the British Columbia wood industry. At Platinum Cedar we proudly provide the rich unparalleled beauty of Western Red Cedar Products harvested right here in British Columbia. We have access to the highly coveted Island Cedar Products which are grown and harvested on the West Coast as well as Vancouver Island. We proudly follow the quality standards set by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). We hold our products and ourselves to the high standards of the Western Red Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau.

Our Western Red Cedar Products are eco-friendly as they are renewable, biodegradable, recyclable, grow with solar energy, as well as absorb and trap carbon dioxide. It’s important to note that harvesting leads to reforestation, not deforestation. Since the 1940?s, there has been a shift to planned harvest and supply. The provincial government of British Columbia’s response to evolution of forest management includes the Timber Supply Review Forest Practices Code. It is an ever evolving industry, and one we work hand in hand with our government and our first nation’s people.
