They are very hard to work for and this review is my own experience. They acknowledge the poor culture there, but do nothing to improve it because they simply do not know how to. There is one long term employee only. The staff turnover is more than most have seen in a lifetime. 20 + people in a calendar year has NOTHING to do with those 20 people. If it were, then the company is very very bad at choosing employees, and if is true, they would have those 20 amazing employees from just the last year alone. They hire good and qualified people. Most people quit or get fired within 4 to 6 months and are so so happy to leave. We all remain friends from there and meet up regularly now. Speaking from personal experience, the benefits are terrible. So very basic. If you don't have a spouses extended to use your basically out of luck. Read the fine print. It's a cheap program. No vacation time as they find it too difficult to stay on top of the management of it with huge employee turnover so they pay it out each payday. The pay is good. The free lunches are good. Tons of free liquor is good. The coworkers good. But no amount of those things being good is worth the torment and anguish you feel as soon as you walk in the doors. It's thick with suspicion and tense as soon as certain people enter the building. It's just not worth it. There is no room to grow within the company because there are no spots to advance into. The org chart is flat as a pancake. There is the owner and his assistant, and everyone else is below with no ability for succession planning. Watching your coworkers get "disciplined" daily is also the norm too and super hard to be around when you know that everyone tries so hard to help each other. When it's stated that you get control of your work and you get to build your own systems and managed them, this could not be further from reality. The systems literally change daily. There is no personal choices in what you do. When you do try to develop a system it is shot down immediately by the owner. Who will then mock you openly in front of your coworkers for trying. Basically, if you can handle constant moving targets and getting disciplined for doing as your told, then apply. If not, I do not recommend working for them. Especially if you value good culture, teamwork, fun, peace, and feeling like you're a valued member of the team. There is no future there. Period. The proof is in their history. Not one long term employee aside from his submissive assistant. That says alot for a company who has been in busfor 15 plus years. They have gone through dozens and dozens of employees.

Worst employers in chilliwack. Constant employee turnover. No morals. No teamwork. No collaboration. Not friendly at all. Hard to work for. Constant berating from the owner. He yells alot. His sidekick hangs her head as he does this. He lies to you. Throws away items on your desk. They constantly remove your permissions to your work and make you explain why you need access. This happens weekly. Just an awful culture to tolerate. There is no joy there. It's so sad for anyone left there. But the good news is they won't be left there for lo g as no one lasts more than 6 months. They are almost 20 years old and not one long term employee in the office aside from the owners girlfriend.

There is absolutly nothing positive about working for Kan-Arm. They are awful in all ways. They hire you into one position and then move you into one that the company is lacking. If you don't do exceptional at this new position then you are fired. The employee turnover is not normal nor is it looked at as abnormal. They belive that 17 office staff quitting or getting fired in 11 months is" just the cost of doing business.". This company is 13 plus years old and they have no office staff with more than 15 months there. They always say they cant find good people, when in fact they have lots of great employees, but these employess know their worth and do not stay in this toxic environment. Th lonegst offcie tenure to daye is 15 months. And almost everyone else is not even through probation yet. Its a constant turnover. It's super hard to work well with people and then come in the next day to find out they were fired or quit, They believe this is normal because the owner and his sidekick have mostly only worked for their families. They have no experience with how typical well functioning, happy cultured offices run. They have no clue and have no interest in getting a clue. Do not waste your time with their promises of advancing in the company. Do not fall for the trick of "buying" into your future with them. There are so many great employers o let there. Kan-Arm is NOT ONE OF THEM THOUGH!
