Tara C.: I am a yoga teacher and parent at the school as well. I own and operate a yoga studio out of my home, Loving Energy Yoga in glenmore. I also teach at PUR Yoga out of Global Fitness and Yoga which is centrally located. Both very accessible. I teach at O ranj dance and fitness located downtown in kelowna as well. I specialize in therapeutic, alignment based yoga and have completed another 300 hrs training these past two years. My training started in Iyengar but I am 500 hrRYT (2003) in Hatha, Interdisciplinary, Feldenkrais, Somatic Training, Restorative, Pre/Post Prenatal, Yin, Core Vinyasa, therapeutic yoga, breathwork and the last two years Anusara yoga (alignment based), Ayurveda and presently the Bow Spring practices. I also specialize in holistic and energy medicine (body talk, specialized kinesiology, emotional freedom technique, Breakthrough, EFT, etc) with 18 years of experience. In my home yoga studio I teach smaller classes more 1:1 and specialized practices. Other than this.. PUR Yoga out of Global Fitness is wonderful with a focus on community and all age groups and genders. You also can play tennis, workout, fitness trainers, abundance of classes and you will find ages from 16-80 equally women and men! I have a fella in my Yoga class that is 70 yrs old and stronger and more flexible than most 20 yr olds. It's great to see, teach and practice in this environment. Not to mention $10 a class with many senior yoga teachers like myself available to practice with and lots of variety in yoga styles. Darcia Fenton is a senior Iyengar teacher that manages she is brilliant.
